Blonding is all we do – and it’s all we’ve done since 2013.‍ ‍Our work is rooted in science, experience, color formulation, and a deep understanding of how to take a client’s vision and turn it into reality.

Our Story

Founded in Los Angeles in 2013 by master colorist Caitlin Richardson, BLONDE + BLOND was created with one singular focus— blonde hair.

Long before blonding became an industry category of its own, we built a salon devoted to understanding the nuances of blonde hair color. From natural, dimensional and lived-in color to platinum transformations, corrective color, gray blending and extensions.

At Blonde Blond Salon, we believe there is no universal formula for the perfect blonde. Your natural hair color, skin tone, hair history, lifestyle, maintenance commitment and the health and integrity of your hair all matter.

Our approach has always combined artistry with an obsessive scientific understanding of color, formulation and technique. The goal isn’t simply to make hair lighter. It’s to create the right blonde for the person wearing it and to protect the integrity of the hair throughout the process. More than a decade later that philosophy remains at the heart of BLONDE + BLOND.

The consultations that happen before an appointment at BLONDE + BLOND are more thorough than many stand alone consultation appointments at regular salons. We use a 10 point consultation practice that is part of the reason we are able to deliver results that our competitors are not able to, no matter how good their intentions are.

Products Sourced From a Scientific Perspective.

Not all products are created equal. Not all viral hacks work. Most of the highest priced quick fixes are far from a fix. Products used professionally in the salon and also for clients at home care need years of research and use to determine results, and even then need to be customized for everyone. At BLONDE + BLOND we have spent our entire careers dedicated to just this. Every choice is a calculated decision that is the right choice for each clients hair. Because of our virtual intake consultations, you will not be rushed out or halfway done when you’re at your appointment. Our team is a group of passionate master colorists who have each decided to specialize in blonding. This does not mean everyone ends up platinum blonde! Quite the opposite.
